I've had this 20 punch pass to the gym forever (about a year). I finally made it to the gym Saturday and last night. Nothing crazy. No weights yet, just treadmill walk/run and spinning. It's a nice change of scenery and its kinda nice to walk/run/spin while watching a football game.
We'll see how crowded it gets after jan 1. Our new treadmill arrives this Thursday so i'm kinda looking forward to that. Maybe a quick jog/walk when i wake up in the morning??? we'll see. I'm trying to ease into it. 1. so i don't get hurt and 2. so i don't burn out and stop doing it.
No soccer this week so its good i'm getting to the gym.

Wow....
I can't believe that last post in 8/2009 I was 170!!!! Well, post holidays weigh in for 2010 is 158. Not bad. I've been playing year round indoor soccer once a week and in the spring and fall i play outdoor soccer too.
I haven't blogged mainly because I haven't been riding or racing a whole lot, but, I definitely have the itch again. I signed up for a 50 miler in Leadville, CO. Its not until July but I'll try and do a few races prior. Should be fun.
I rode yesterday a little to shake the rust off and burn the lungs.
More later...

Weight...170...
Ok, I'm fat. A couple very important things happened yesterday. First, i went for a run. I have never been heavier than right now. So, running and eating right will help me cut the weight. I want to get back to 155 consistently and maybe 150 if i have a key race. Secondly, I scored a sweet deal on a Titus Switchblade. This is an awesome trail bike and can take me wherever I need to go in the Rocky Mtns and elsewhere. I'm pumped and can't wait to get it built up!
I will be posting pics of my bikes soon.

rough start.
I cranked out 10 miles on saturday. The riding was fun but the trail was super rock, small rocks, medium rocks and everything in between. It wasn't just a few technical sections, its jjust that there weren't any smooth singletrack areas ro relax. The downhill on this trail crushed my shoulders and back on the Rigid.
Sunday was a smoother trail and I got the soreness out. Hopefully the rides get smoother. If not, if I want to race anything seriously I will need a suspension fork.
